Storm and Fury by Jennifer L. Armentrout

4.5 stars!

Wowwwww. Still reeling from that ending.

The romance was angsty and slow burn and so cute yet so painful (in a good way) at times. The world building was well incorporated into our world with explaining how high and low demons and angels and wardens all play into what I believe is current day East Coast of the U.S, DC area. The characters were loveable and witty and hella badass, and there were well placed character building moments in the plot. The story was paced perfectly. LOVED the super fast paced battle scenes -- with astounding fighting imagery mind you. And that plot twist!! 100% did not see that ending coming...

THAT ENDING!! I DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO RECOVER RIGHT NOW. Onto book two!!

So why am I knocking off half a star? It's from the beginning, which was a little slow to catch my interest, some small info dumps, and sometimes had awkward bantery dialogue (which improves greatly later on). But the rest of the book!! Wow it was so incredibly hard to put down, especially after "the turning point."
