Thoughts: A short novella regarding characters in the series. I’m curious to see how this story plays into the actual series. To be honest it was rather slow in the beginning and I was debating DNFing it, but because it was so short, I continued. The ending definitely made it worth it because the second half was much more interesting. I liked these characters enough to give it 3 stars, but would say the overall plot was just meh. I believe you “need” to read this book before continuing on with the series, so for that suggestion alone I’d recommend just chugging through that first half and enjoying the second.
