Thoughts:
Not sure if the writing didn’t agree with me, but this book is just really dry. I just had no interest in any aspect of this book. The characters were extremely cliche and have been overdone in the past, which kind of made their dialogue awkward and ill-fitting. The plot wasn’t grasping in the beginning and continued to fall flat as I read on. I found my mind drifting away from the story as I was reading because it just couldn’t keep me intrigued, then I would have to either deal with missing that information or go back and reread what I glazed over. At 27% I gave up because I didn’t want to keep putting myself through it.
