Summary:
So this romance novel is story about a girl and a boy who meet one day and I guess you could say experience some "insta-love," but do not let that deter you because they only get to experience this attraction for one day a year for the next five years. Why? Find out when you read this book!
This book was literally crack. The synopsis on the back of the book and my summary clearly do not do it justice because the story that was woven in this book ran so much deeper and more complex. The one night I couldn't sleep I just sped all the way through it and I have absolutely no regrets over the lost sleep because I was immersed in such an amazing new adult contemporary WONDERFULLY CHEESEY romance novel. This was the first ever Colleen Hoover book I've ever read and I will absolutely pick up more of her books! She is such a great writer of all her books are equally as riveting as this one.
Plot:
I thought the plot was very cute. It's the first I, personally, have read of its kind. There were so many ups and down and ups and downs I could not AT ALL predict what was going to come up next. I always love that in a good book when you can't expect the outcome! I was very satisfied with the ebb and flow of the story, but my one qualm would be how long she took to make the ending come around full circle. I believe that was the slowest for me and I would still give this book basically 5 stars.
Characters:
I fell in love with Fallon almost instantly. She is spunky. She is insecure. She is so funny! Her dry humor during her interactions with Ben were A+!
I also fell in love with Ben quite rapidly. He's pretty much the textbook male love interest in personality, plus he's witty, plus he's funny like Fallon, PLUS HE HAS ABS. Just kidding but I need to add that part in anyways because *wink**wink*
Overall I just really want to go ahead and order two or three more of her books so I can also gobble them down in one night because the sleep lost over her writing is totally worth it. READ THIS BOOK NOW (if you haven't already) trust me it should only take you about 4-5 hours max!
